This award supports projects that discover or validate mechanisms, processes, and triggers that contribute to human type 1 diabetes pathogenesis.
Funding & Duration
Grants are each worth up to USD $150,000 (approx. AUD $207,000) for a maximum duration of two years.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold an MD, DMD, DVM, PhD or an equivalent academic degree, and a faculty position or equivalent at a domestic or foreign, public or private non-profit organisation such as a college, university, medical school, hospital, laboratory, unit of state or local government, an eligible agency of the federal government or a for-profit entity.
Preference is given to early-stage investigators who have not previously received a substantial independent research award. There are no citizenship requirements for this programme.
