Engineering next-generation human nervous system microphysiological systems (R21)
This award aims to stimulate basic research to develop next-generation human cell-derived microphysiological systems with improved fidelity to complex human brain, spinal, peripheral nervous system and sensory end organ circuit physiology in vivo. This opportunity uses the R21 Exploratory/Developmental Research Grants funding mechanism.
- Funding & Duration: Grants are worth up to USD $275,000 (approx. AUD $380,000) for two years.

Novel mechanism research on neuropsychiatric symptoms in Alzheimer’s dementia (R01 clinical trial optional)
This award studies that will enhance knowledge of mechanisms associated with neuropsychiatric symptoms in persons with Alzheimer’s disease or Alzheimer’s disease-related dementias. This opportunity uses the R01 Research Project Grant funding mechanism.
