Alexander von Humboldt Foundation: Humboldt Research Awards

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation invites nominations for its research awards. These enable foreign scientists and scholars from all disciplines and countries to conduct a long-term research project of their own in collaboration with specialist colleagues at a research institute in Germany.

Funding & Duration

The award is worth EUR €60,000 (approx. AUD $97,000) for a period of six months to one year, plus funding for additional expenditures such as language courses or travel.

Eligibility

Nomination of female academics is particularly encouraged. Nominations must be made by established researchers working at universities or other research institutions in Germany, or by award winners working abroad, in collaboration with German colleagues. Nominees must have internationally recognised academic qualifications documented by corresponding successes in research.
