Australian Academy of Science (AAS): Theo Murphy Initiative

The Australian Academy of Science invites applications for the Theo Murphy initiative. This supports the organisation of events that provide tangible benefits for early- and mid-career researchers to support their careers and further scientific breakthroughs. Activities may be held anywhere in Australia and may take any format.

Funding & Duration

Support ranges from AUD $5,000 to $50,000 per activity for direct activity costs, excluding academic staff time. Three to six will be funded.

All proposals must include at least one EMCR (Early and Mid-Career Researchers) forum member on the organising committee. EMCRs are defined as researchers up to 15 years post-PhD. Activities must take place within Australia, or if online, must focus on Australian participants.
