ABB invites applications for its research award in honour of Hubertus von Gruenberg. This enables postdocs to continue their research in the creative use of software, digital technologies, the internet of things, new materials, and natural resources energy.
Funding
The award is worth USD $300,000 (approx. AUD $423,000).
Eligibility
Applicants who have received their doctoral degree in the years 2016 to 2018 in the fields of electrical, mechanical or software engineering, electronics, robotics, artificial intelligence, process automation, or any related technical discipline, may apply. Research projects should have specific real-world applications and potential for innovation as well as benefiting society and the environment. Applicants with dissertations that involve bringing electricity from any power plant to any plug or automating industries from natural resources to finished products will be prioritised.
