Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency: Capacity Building and Strategic Partnership Grants (Multiple Schemes)

Awards Available

The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Agency Executive Agency is responsible for the management of certain parts of the EU’s funding programmes in the fields of education, culture, audiovisual, sport, citizenship and volunteering.

The following opportunities are currently available under its Erasmus+ programme.

Capacity Building in the Field of Youth

This award aims to increase the capacity of organisations through the implementation of transnational capacity-building and mobility activities.

  • Funding: Each grant is worth up to €150,000 (approx. AUD $242,000) and covers up to 80 per cent of the total costs.
  • Duration: Projects may last between nine months and two years.
  • Eligibility: Private and public organisations may apply. Projects should be transnational and must involve a minimum of three participating organisations from three different countries, including at least one programme country and one eligible partner country. Project activities may vary depending on the participating partner countries.

Strategic Partnerships in the Field of Youth

These support the development, transfer and implementation of innovative practices as well as the implementation of joint initiatives promoting cooperation, peer learning and exchanges of experience at European level.

  • Funding: Award amount not supplied. Grants cover up to 80 per cent of the total costs.
  • Duration: between 6 and 36 months.
  • Eligibility: Proposals must include at least two organisations from at least two different programme countries. Participating organisations may be established in programme countries or partner countries. HEIs established in a programme country must hold a valid Erasmus charter for higher education.

Strategic Partnerships in the Field of Education and Training

These support the development, transfer and implementation of innovative practices as well as the implementation of joint initiatives promoting cooperation, peer learning and exchanges of experience at European level.

  • Funding & Duration: not supplied.
  • Eligibility: Proposals must include at least three organisations from at least three programme countries, apart from school exchange partnerships which must involve at least two and up to six schools from at least two programme countries. Organisations from partner countries can be involved in a strategic partnership as partners, if their participation brings an essential added value to the project. HEIs established in a programme country must hold a valid Erasmus charter for higher education.
