Revised Research Grants, Contracts, and Consultancies Policy

On 9 of November 2018, the Vice-Chancellor approved the revised Research Grants, Contracts and Consultancies Policy for the University.

Staff members are encouraged to secure external research funding in support of their research and the University’s strategic vision. External funding includes Competitive Research Grants, and Contract Research, which are a critical part of the University’s activity. This Policy also covers Consultancies which, while not considered as core academic business, have a role in extending the University’s community engagement.

The purpose of this Policy is to set out the structures within the University that support and govern these activities, as well as the principles and procedures that apply to the process of seeking and expending external research funding.

Please visit the policy webpage to download the policy, and to access related Procedures and Forms.
