Leukemia Research Foundation: Hollis Brownstein Research Grants

These grants support new investigators who are beginning to establish their own laboratories that are no longer under the tutelage of a senior scientist mentor. Preference is given to proposals that focus on leukemia, lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndrome and multiple myeloma.

Funding & Duration

Grants are each worth up to USD $100,000 (approx. AUD $137,000) over one year.


Applicants must be within seven years of their first independent position. They are not required to be US citizens and projects undertaken outside the US will be considered. Applicants with a National Institutes of Health K08 or K23 award are also eligible. Applicants holding a R01 grant or equivalent, grants worth more than USD $175,000 (approx. AUD $240,000) per year or career development awards from other national foundations, are not supported.
