Workshop – US Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects (Funding and Engagement)

The US Department of Defense (DoD) provides many opportunities for research funding. The Defence, Cyber and Space Industry Engagement Priority would like to offer University of Adelaide researchers access to support in responding to these opportunities. Writing for a US agency such as the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is very different compared to writing for the ARC.

In order to increase our chances of success with US DoD opportunities, we are bringing in an expert from the US, Dr Stuart Milner to hold a workshop on Engagement and Funding Opportunities in the US Defense Ecosystem. Stuart has worked as a Program Manager DARPA and so is well placed to advise on how to succeed in this arena. Stuart is also under contract to the University of Adelaide to provide assistance to researchers responding to specific opportunities. In fact, he is currently with a writing team in AIML, reviewing and advising on how to write for the DARPA audience.
