The US Agency for International Development, the UK Department for International Development, the Government of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with support from Grand Challenges Canada, are partnering on Creating Hope in Conflict: A Humanitarian Grand Challenge.
This Grand Challenge aims to identify and support groundbreaking solutions that engage the private sector and draw from the experiences of affected communities in order to significantly improve – and in many cases, save – the lives of vulnerable people affected by conflict. The goal is to identify solutions that will allow communities to respond more nimbly to complex emergencies and take steps to create better lives for themselves.
Funding & Duration
This round will fund up to 25 seed projects at up to CAD $250,000 (approx. AUD $271,000) each over a maximum period of 24 months.
This round will also fund up to 5 Transition to Scale innovations of up to CAD $1M (approx. AUD $1.08M) each over a maximum of 24 months.
