The Kids’ Cancer Project: FY2022 Funding Round

The Kids’ Cancer Project supports scientific studies that will have the greatest chance of clinical success in the improvement of treatments for childhood cancers. Applications will be accepted for support of investigations into HGG brain cancers, sarcoma and late effects.

Funding & duration

The Kids’ Cancer Project is opening its grant round offering a total of $2.91 million in multi-year commitments to ten research projects. In addition, the charity has set aside funding for at least two projects to receive continued funding.


All research project proposals submitted to The Kids’ Cancer Project will be assessed equally against the seven evaluation criteria below:

  • Importance of proposed research to clinical practice or scientific field
  • Scientific quality of application
  • Likelihood to produce benefits for cancer patients
  • Feasibility of proposed research
  • Novelty and innovation
  • Value for money
  • Overall quality of application
