Adelaide-CNRS Research Mobility Scheme 2022

The Adelaide-CNRS Research Mobility Scheme has been established to foster international collaboration between France and Australia.

Scheme 1: Support to develop long term collaborative programs of research –applications should be made by teams to develop a collaborative program of research across CNRS and Adelaide. We welcome applications that aim to build momentum to apply for a CNRS scheme (e.g. International research network, International Research Project, International Research Lab) or an Australian scheme (e.g. ARC, CRC) – either by visiting in person or sending or exchanging postdoctoral or PhD students.

Scheme 2: Support for longer term visits – These activities are intended to deepen an existing collaboration between CNRS and the University of Adelaide. Funds will be provided over 12 months for an exchange of visits. During that time, a senior researcher from CNRS will travel to Adelaide and bring a postdoctoral fellow or PhD student with them. They will be hosted in Adelaide by a collaborator who will undertake a similar visit within 12 months.

Allowable budget items include travel, single items of new research equipment (which may include additions to existing pieces of equipment), or costs associated with experiments, the repair or maintenance of existing research equipment (including the cost of maintenance contracts). The scheme excludes laboratory animals and IT-related purchases (computing hardware and software).

Funding

Funding of up to $60,000 per project will be provided with the expectation that a minimum of three projects will be supported under two funding Schemes as outlined above.

Please review the scheme guidelines thoroughly for further details on eligibility and requirements before applying online.
