Nick Harvey

Professor Nick Harvey is  Executive Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Adelaide.

Professor Harvey is a member of several international scientific committees dealing with global change. He is the only South Australian lead author on the recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Group II Report and has written more than 100 publications on coastal management and environmental impact assessment.

In 2007 Professor Harvey was a lead author on a joint award of the Nobel Peace Prize to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

In 1994 he received the Royal Australian Planning Institute Medal and Prize for Planning Research.
