For 1 in 10, their baby will be born premature – that’s 15 million babies worldwide per year.
Babies born too soon are at greater risk of health problems which may include blindness, deafness, cerebral palsy, learning and developmental disabilities, and even death. Some parents cannot hold their newborn, and extremely premature babies will spend more than 100 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
So, on this Giving Tuesday the Robinson Institute aims to raise at least $5,000 to further our research into this vital area.
All funds raised will go directly towards research into understanding the causes of prematurity, improving the prospects for premature babies and ultimately, to find a prevention.
By rallying together we can help provide the gift of healthy life to hopeful parents all around the world!
