A 10 point Guide for not Offending Transgender people

7326338-3x2-460x307Language is very powerful in conveying explicit and in-explicit messages. Values and feelings are often conveyed clearly through language use. Even when we perhaps don’t intend to offer a point of view or offend someone- we inadvertently do this through our use of language. This is  why using correct terminology and being respectful of how people want to be addressed is so important.

This article gives a really succinct and clear way of understanding the correct language to use, and why,  when talking to a transgender person.
