On Tuesday 18th February, USC Art students were part of launch of the new edition of the Art Gallery of South Australia’s Studio activity space for the Adelaide Biennial of Art 2014.
USC students were lucky enough to have a behind the scenes tour with well known art curator – Lisa Slade.
For the Adelaide Biennial, South Australian sculpture and installation artist Julia Robinson transformed the Studio, an immersive and active art space full of superstitions where students undertook Making activities.
Details about the Dark Heart Learning program are available in here (page 13)
The students had the opportunity to hear from artist Julia Robinson speaking about her work, and this was followed by participation in the first of our Studio workshops.
The gallery can also provided a short ‘behind the scenes’ tour with Dark Heart Assistant Serena Wong. This gave the students the opportunity to see the installation process for Dark Heart.
Art Teacher Mishka Ammann were participants in the audience, as photographed on the Art Gallery website.
