ICE Breaker’s Graduation Presentation

International Cultural Engagement (ICE) Breaker Program

On Friday 13th June 2014 the latest group of ICE Breaker peer mentors were presented with their Certificate of Completion of the ICE Breaker Program. This group of thirteen Yr12 students have been yet another fantastic bunch to work with. Their dedication and motivation to be caring and outstanding group of peer mentors to the Intensive English class was second to none. Six of them were completing their second time in the program, the first was in Term 3 2013 when Yr11 students.

They were presented with certificates from our Principal Bob Holloway and ICE Breaker ‘guru’ Judith Mohan – who has developed a fantastic program that facilitates our newest international students developing friendships and learning valuable skills from our mainstream students. The entire Intensive English class attended the presentation, proof of their gratitude to their peer mentor buddies. Many thanks to Bob for joining us, and of course to the ICE Breakers – you’re awesome, it was our favourite ‘hour of the week’!

PS – Term 3 will see the ‘next generation’ of Year 11 ICE Breakers begin working with the July Intensive English intake of International students.
