Bob Holloway will farewell USC at the end of 2016

22 February 2016

To all members of the USC Community,

I am writing to notify all members of the USC community that Bob Holloway has informed Council that he will retire from his position at the end of 2016.

After 11 years as Principal, Bob feels the time is right to hand over the reins and allow others to lead the school into the next exciting phase of its development.  A foundation member of staff, he has led the school with distinction since 2006 and most recently confirmed our long term association with the University of Adelaide.

Council will provide an opportunity later this year for all stakeholders to acknowledge and celebrate Bob’s outstanding contribution to the school, its community and the University of Adelaide.

Council will now initiate a comprehensive national search to engage a suitable replacement for this key leadership role.  The school is currently in a very strong position and with our planned move into refurbished facilities on university campus in April this year we seek to appoint a very experienced and senior education professional.  Council will work closely with Hender Consulting to identify a skilled and dynamic leader who has the understanding and personal qualities to build on the excellent and unique transition pathway put in place by Bob and his staff over the last decade.

Yours sincerely

Mr Brian Cunningham
Chairman of USC College Council
