On Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 of February USC International students in our Intensive English Program went on an overnight camping trip.
On the Tuesday we left school at midday and headed straight to Mount Compass Country Bakery for some delicious lunch. Following lunch we went to Urimbirra Wildlife Park to see many native Australian animals including Koalas, Kangaroos, Emus and more.
After a quick photo stop overlooking Victor Harbour Bay we drove back to Adelaide and checked onto our accommodation – at Adelaide Shores Caravan Park at West Beach.
After BBQ dinner and desert it was back to our cabins for a good sleep.
Wednesday’s activities included the Mega Adventure Climbing Park at West Beach, another BBQ meal for lunch at Grange SLSC followed by a 2-hour Surf Education session at Grange SLSC also. The students learned about beach safety, surf lifesaving sporting events and even got to catch some waves on foamie surfboards with the instructors.
Many thanks to Damien, Zora, Guan, Joyce & MJ for organising and coordinating this great experience for our newest USC International students!
