Year 12 Drama Production

This year the Year 12 Drama class will be presenting two one-act plays as their Group Production.

“Blood Sister” by Daniel Keene tells the story of Kate Kelly, sister of Ned Kelly. After her brothers were killed, she started a new life; however, a chance encounter exposed her past and she spiralled into a bout of depression, PTSD and opium addiction. The play begins as she is admitted into a sanatorium.

“Soldadera” by Josephina Niggli focuses on the experiences of a band of female soldiers in the 1914 Mexican Revolution. Guarding an ammunition dump in the hills, they capture a lone Federal soldier, and the events that follow tell a story of the women’s bravery and strength in these extreme times.

Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th June
