This past week our newest group of International students (July intake of the USC Intensive English Program) had a 2-day overnight camp. It started on Tuesday afternoon with a 90-minute session at Latitude (Greenacres) where the students and 3 adventurous staff climbed walls (rock-climbing style!), played trampoline basketball, did somersaults and bounced on the vast array of trampolines and did ‘sky-walk’.
Then it was off to West Beach Caravan Park to ‘move in’ for the night, closely followed by food shopping at Harbour Town for supplies needed to cook our next two meals – dinner and breakfast!
After a good night’s sleep we ‘moved out’ and headed ‘into the Hills’ for a visit to Cleland Wildlife Park and then Hahndorf for lunch and a walk of its main street. Fortunately we were blessed with sunny weather both days and time to bond as a group as we progress through their semester long language program before the students progress to Yr11 in 2019.
