Dr Michelle Lim appointed to Collective Leadership Team of the IUCN Green List

IUCNIn February, Adelaide Law School’s Dr Michelle Lim accepted an invitation to join the Collective Leadership Team of the IUCN Green List of Protected and Conserved Areas (the ‘IUCN Green List’).

The overarching objective of the IUCN Green List is to increase and recognise the number of Protected and Conserved Areas globally that are equitably governed and effectively managed and thereby deliver and validate successful conservation outcomes. A key feature of the IUCN Green List is the IUCN Green List Standard. The Standard is a new global measure for protected areas which aims to encourage protected and conserved areas to measure, improve and maintain their performance through globally consistent criteria that benchmark good governance, sound design and planning, effective management, and successful conservation outcomes.
