PHC RIS was pleased to release the 2013 Snapshot of Australian primary health care research at yesterday’s opening plenary session. Snapshot 2013 showcases the eight Centres of Research Excellence funded by the Primary Health Care Research, Evaluation and Development (PHCRED) Strategy. The Centres are undertaking innovative, multidisciplinary research in primary health care policy and system improvement to further the national primary health care reform agenda and improve the health and wellbeing of all Australians. This year’s Snapshot reports on their progress in the areas of rural and remote care, Indigenous health, oral health care, obesity prevention, microsystem integration and the finance and economics of our future primary health care system.
