Adelaide Commercialisation Bootcamp

Come along to the Adelaide Commercialisation Bootcamp on Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 Feb, 2011.

The Bootcamp is run by the Australian Institute for Commercialisation (AIC) and hosted by the ECIC.

In today’s competitive environment, targeted professional development plays a crucial role in ensuring research organisations and universities maximise the impact of their research through strategic intellectual property management and a positive commercialisation culture. Attending a Commercialisation Bootcamp will raise your skills in the area of commercialisation and improve your competitive advantage, giving you a head start over your competitors as you take your research to market.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The AIC’s Commercialisation Bootcamp is an intensive, two day program, introducing participants to the various stages of the commercialisation process. Throughout the two days, participants apply the principles learnt to their own situation in interactive workshop sessions, in order to enhance their understanding and capability. The workshop culminates in a pitch competition, where participants present their workshop projects to a panel of mock investors.

This two day workshop covers topics such as:

  • Commercialisation pathways
  • Intellectual property
  • legal issues relating to commercialising IP
  • Tailoring a research program to achieve commercial outcomes
  • R&D partnering
  • Pitching your project and sourcing capital
