Dr Alex Heath from the Reserve Bank of Australia talks to top high school economics students

The School of Economics was pleased to host a talk organised by the Economics Teachers’ Society of SA.  The top Year 12 students currently studying Economics at Adelaide high schools were invited to the talk.  The guest speaker was Dr Alex Heath, Head of Economic Analysis, Reserve Bank of Australia who gave an address on: “Current Economic Conditions & Monetary Policy”.

Following the address Professor Paul Kerin, Head of the School of Economics at the University of Adelaide gave a brief talk on studying Economics and introduced the new Bachelor of Economics (Advanced)  degree being offered, together with the requirements for entry.

The students also had the opportunity to mingle with the speaker and academic staff from the university.  We look forward to seeing some of these bright students at the School of Economics next year!
