Last Monday Steven Payne ran a CSER workshop for Teachmeet WA at Edith Cowan University in Joondalup, WA.

Seventeen dedicated teachers (and a baby) gave up a morning of their school holidays to explore the CSER MOOCs and participate in some digital technologies activities.

Steven began the session with a card trick and teachers tried to work out how it was done, discussing algorithms, computational thinking and logic.

Teachers registered for the MOOC and began exploring the resources.  Steven also led a couple of unplugged activities (focusing on digital systems and algorithms).

It was a fun morning and it is great to see that many of the teachers who attended have begun working through the MOOC and contributing to the Google+ community.
