The Centre’s December 2015 Economic Briefing Report, which provides an analysis of recent developments in the South Australian, national and global economies, was launched today at a presentation held at Crowne Plaza Adelaide.

The report finds that recent data on unemployment are somewhat at odds with other economic indicators for the South Australian economy which suggest that the economy picked up speed in 2014/15. Regardless of this discrepancy, the state economy has recently been growing below its long term trend. Our expectation is that the South Australian economy will continue to grow at a subdued pace in the current and next financial years.
