Feature Resource: digital technology lesson plans

Have you got any of the following digital technology equipment? We have free online lesson plans available for you to download!

  • Beebots
  • Spheros
  • Ozobots
  • Makey Makeys
  • LilyPads
  • LittleBits
  • Arduinos

Our lesson plans are mapped to the F-10 Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies and we have options for a range of year levels. Our lessons have been designed to support teachers in schools to use our Lending Library equipment, but we’ve also made them freely available for anyone use.

Some of our lessons include the use of Beebots to explore algorithms and sequences with narratives, the design and creation of user-interfaces with Scratch and Makey Makeys, and opportunities for students to design and create security devices with LittleBits and Arduinos.

Our lesson plans can be found on our Lending Library page. Simply click on “Lesson Plan and Project Exemplars” and navigate to your year level to view the available lessons.

On our Lending Library page you can request to borrow, for free, a selection of Digital Technologies educational equipment, that is accompanied by our lesson plans. The library kits are designed to complement our free professional learning, and priority is given to schools who participate.

For more great lesson plans to support the use of digital technology in the classroom, we recommend using the search page on the Digital Technologies Hub to find lessons ideas and supporting resources for the equipment you have!
