CSER and Children’s University Australia – Makerspace fun

On Thursday 19 July, a group of enthusiastic Children’s University Adelaide Coordinators from a variety of South Australian schools took part in a school holiday Makerspace workshop with CSER.

The morning was spent discussing makerspace environments, pedagogical approaches and having hands on fun creating Rube Goldberg Machines with little bits and lots of craft materials! Taking a design thinking approach, the participants engaged their creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, resilience and communication skills to produce some wonderful creations!

Judging by the cheers of success around the room, the participants had fun and we hope they enjoy sharing some of these activities in their Children’s University Learning Destinations. Thanks for spending some of your school holidays with us!
